What the game checks
The comparison can use recorded career totals, best seasons, per-90 rates, percentages, age, height or weight, so the label matters as much as the player names.
Methodology
A duel is published only when both players have a comparable value for the selected metric and unit. The result is calculated from those stored numeric values; fame, card order and the previous winner do not influence which side is higher.
Limitations
Totals, per-90 rates and percentages describe different samples, and historical coverage is not uniform across every league and season. The game deliberately compares the named field only and should not be read as an overall ranking of the two players.

Worked example: compare the named statistic, not the names
A prolific scorer can have a higher career total while another player has the better per-90 rate; choose according to the exact label on the card.
The board above is a good test of instinct. You may recognize both footballers, but reputation does not tell you who has the higher duel-win percentage in the dataset. The game chooses one comparable field and asks which of the two stored values is larger. It is a narrow numeric comparison, not a vote on who had the better career.
1. Read the question and unit before the portraits
Here the question concerns a percentage of duels won. A percentage is a rate, not a total count of duels, goals or trophies. A player who took fewer duels could still have the larger percentage. If tomorrow's card says career goals, best-season assists, age or height instead, you need a completely different line of reasoning.
2. Frame the decision as two numbers
Imagine an unrelated practice card in which Player A won 63 of 100 recorded duels and Player B won 114 of 200. The first percentage is 63%; the second is 57%. Player B won more duels in total, but Player A has the higher duel-win percentage. This arithmetic example is illustrative only; it is not a claim about the two players in the screenshot.
3. Choose a side and inspect the reveal
Select the player you judge higher. The result reveals the comparison, so check the actual values and the unit together. If your choice was correct, the winning side stays on the board for the next duel and your streak grows. If it was wrong, the run ends and you can start again.
4. Reset your assumptions on the next duel
The remaining player is not automatically 'better' on every future stat. A new opponent and possibly a new metric create a fresh comparison. Keep the habit of reading the field label first even when your streak feels strong; one careless switch from a total to a per-90 rate can end it.
Common mistakes
- Choosing the more famous footballer without reading the question.
- Confusing a total with a rate or percentage.
- Assuming the previous winner must beat the next opponent on a different metric.
What to remember: Before tapping, finish this sentence: 'I think this player has the higher ___, measured in ___.' If you cannot fill both blanks, reread the card.
