Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026. How the Footalara website handles data, analytics, advertising and local storage.
Who we are
Footalara is a football games service available at footalara.com and through its mobile apps. This page describes the website. For privacy questions, contact admin@footalara.com.
Information stored by the site
You can play Footalara without registering. The website stores game progress, daily challenge state, privacy settings and a random Coach installation token on your device so you can continue a game and retain an anonymous Coach profile. Partly played games and local preferences remain on that device. The installation token is used only for Footalara functionality and is not combined with data from other companies for advertising or tracking.
Players aged 13 or older may optionally convert that anonymous profile into an account. Depending on the chosen sign-in method, we store an email, a password hash, a Google or Apple account identifier, email-verification status, animal avatar, username and optional display name, hashed account sessions, completed game results, points, privacy choices, legal versions and optional newsletter consent. We never store a plain-text password or session token.
Public profiles and rankings
A verified account is public by default unless you make it private in Settings. A public profile may show its avatar, username, optional display name, division, points, streak, days played, game summaries and ranking positions. It never shows an email address, internal identifier or last connection time. Only verified, active, public accounts enter rankings.
Optional news emails
Footalara sends news only when you separately opt in. Our database keeps the consent record. A restricted lead record may be mirrored through our self-hosted n8n service to a Microsoft Excel 365 table and Hostinger SMTP for campaigns. Every campaign has an individual unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent in Settings at any time.
Google Analytics on the website
Google Analytics is optional. Footalara loads it only after you allow analytics in the site's analytics preferences. It measures aggregate page usage, device categories, traffic sources and game engagement. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics. You can reject or change this choice with the Analytics control in the footer.
Google AdSense on the website
The homepage, guide index and selected published football guides may display Google AdSense advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads, measure performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted, personalize advertising. Google's privacy message manages advertising purposes and partners separately from Footalara's analytics preferences. Accepting analytics never grants advertising consent.
Advertising requests remain paused while consent is unknown, while you change it, or if the consent service fails. Where the European consent message applies, requests also stay paused when you reject the necessary advertising storage or Google as a vendor. A partial choice is passed to Google unchanged; it is never converted into permission for every purpose. Where Google confirms that European consent does not apply, eligible pages may request ads subject to Google's applicable rules.
Website consent choices
Use Privacy & cookie settings in the footer to reopen Google's advertising message where it applies. Opening this control immediately pauses advertising while you make a new choice. On pages without ads, Google services are loaded for this control only when you ask to open it; advertising requests stay paused on those pages. If the message cannot load, the website shows a retry option and keeps advertising paused.
Use the separate Analytics control to accept, reject or change website analytics. Essential first-party storage remains active for requested game progress, privacy preferences and account security. Neither consent choice is required to play the games.
Service providers and data sharing
Footalara uses providers to operate hosting, email delivery, optional Google or Apple sign-in and the newsletter workflow described above. They receive data needed for those services. Optional website analytics and advertising use the Google services and choices described above. We do not send Footalara account or gameplay records to data brokers or sell them for cross-app advertising.
Retention and deletion
On-device progress and preferences remain until you clear the website's browser data. Registered account data and completed results remain while the account is active. Deleting an account in Settings removes the account, sessions, authentication records, score history, aliases and personal league records from the primary service database; a league you own is transferred to another active member or deleted. Security records are retained only as long as needed to protect the service or meet a legal obligation.
Server logs and security
Hosting providers and security systems may process standard technical logs such as IP address, browser, requested URL and timestamp to operate the service, detect abuse and keep the site reliable.
Children
Footalara is a general-audience football games service and is not directed primarily to children. Players under 13 use every game as guests, without an email account, public profile or friend leagues. Players aged 13 or older may choose an account. Footalara asks only for an age range, not an exact birthday.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, delete, correct or object to certain data processing. Registered users can export their data, change profile and marketing choices, or delete their account in Settings. Website visitors can change optional cookie choices from the footer. You can also contact admin@footalara.com.
