Identify one daily footballer from a dossier that reveals more evidence after each incorrect guess.
How to play
The player dossier starts with limited information. Every wrong guess opens the next clue, so position, nationality, age, retirement status and career detail gradually become more useful.
How a round works
- Choose an unlocked level and inspect the clues already visible in the dossier.
- Search for the player who best fits the available position, nationality and career evidence.
- Use each incorrect submission as new information because it reveals another clue.
- Complete Easy, then Medium, then Hard; giving up reveals the answer and resolves that daily level.
What the game checks
The dossier only uses the player fields presented by the game, so a clue should be read together with the player's recorded role and career context.
Methodology
Each level is built from one canonical player record and a fixed clue order. The answer search and the dossier therefore refer to the same identity, while later clues reveal stored attributes rather than generated guesses about the footballer.
Limitations
Positions and career stages are simplified for playability. A versatile footballer may have performed several roles, and a short loan or reserve spell may not carry the same weight as an official senior first-team stage in the source data.

Worked example: turn each clue into a narrower shortlist
A nationality clue can identify a broad group of players; a later position or club-career clue is the evidence that separates candidates from the same country.
Imagine beginning with the same kind of dossier shown above: the visible position is Centre Forward and the remaining fields are locked. This is deliberately insufficient to name a single footballer. A useful first move is to create a shortlist you can test with the next clue, rather than choose the most famous striker you know.
1. Interpret the first field carefully
Centre Forward is a role label in Footalara's player record. It points toward attackers normally described as central forwards; it does not say the player spent every minute of a career in the same spot. Write down two or three plausible candidates from different countries or career eras. That gives the next clue a clear job: eliminate most of them.
2. Submit a deliberate probe
Search for one candidate and submit it. If it is wrong, the game records the attempt and opens another dossier field automatically. The attempt has still bought information. A random name would unlock the same card, but would not give you a useful comparison between your initial hypothesis and the new evidence.
3. Combine age and nationality, if revealed
Suppose the next cards identify an age range and then a nationality. Compare both with your shortlist rather than replacing the list with every famous player from that country. A player may fit the position and passport but belong to a different generation. The clue intersection, not any single clue, carries the answer.
4. Let the career trajectory settle close cases
The later club-trajectory field can distinguish two same-country forwards who played at similar times. Read the sequence rather than one recognizable badge: an early club, a major transfer and a later destination together are much more distinctive. The retirement field can also rule out an otherwise attractive candidate who is still active.
5. Move through levels only after resolving the current one
Easy, Medium and Hard are separate daily levels. The next level unlocks after you complete the preceding one. If the evidence never becomes familiar, Give up reveals the answer and resolves that level; use the revealed career as a memory anchor for tomorrow rather than treating the attempt as wasted.
Common mistakes
- Guessing a celebrity from the first position clue and ignoring later contradictions.
- Assuming a versatile player cannot appear under one simplified position label.
- Reading a single club as decisive while overlooking the rest of a career route.
What to remember: Good play here is cumulative. Every revealed field should shrink the same candidate list, and every wrong guess should have a reason you can evaluate.
